Most of Tim’s work is derived originally from the figure; sometimes a mass, sometimes a gesture line or actual contour. From this starting point he develops a form, carving the stone in an almost intuitive process to connect the planes and lines that make up the piece. Tim aims to end up with a piece that draws people in and makes them want to trace the shapes with their fingers, to see where they go, where they start and finish.
